My Piano Journey

Christopher Alexander is a pianist and piano teacher in the Bay Area California. After graduating from St. Olaf College, MN with a B.A in Music and English, Christopher spent two years building a private studio of 50+ students in Rochester, MN, accompanying the Rochester Male Chorus, receiving a Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council grant to put on a collaborative jazz music recital, and scoring and performing a silent film soundtrack at Gray Duck Theater and Coffeehouse.

In 2019, Christopher relocated to Emeryville, California, where served as a pianist for St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church for 3 years. In 2021 he established a new online private piano studio of 40 students, and joined the live music scene in the Bay Area playing with acoustic singer-songwriters, dive-bar top 40 cover bands, and original indie-rock projects

Christopher began composing his own original neoclassical piano music in 2021, and release his debut EP “Searching for Stars” in 2024. He has currently released twelve original songs to streaming services everywhere! Sheet music for his original songs can be found on Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct.

In 2026, Christopher continues to write and release original neoclassical compositions, plays at restaurants, hotels, and private events around the Bay Area, write and record an acoustic singer-songwriter project “Quintessence” with his wife, and serves as the Collaborative Keyboard Artist for the Contra Costa Chorale.
